MADRE DE DIOS | BIODIVERSITY

Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project is located in the region that belongs to the Vilcabamba-Amboró Conservation Corridor in the Peruvian Amazon, one of the world biodiversity hotspots.

This rainforest is very important in terms of biodiversity conservation since it provides the habitat to four endangered rainforest species and thirty one endangered wildlife species.

This exceptional qualities, allowed the project to obtain the maximum status within the CCB Standard: Gold Level.
